Did a search but couldn't find any post on it.
Anyone using this battery pack for 580EXII? Does it really increase the recharge time? How many flashes can it last? |

I've two of them. Just started using them about three months ago and very happy with the devices.
It does DECREASE the recharge time by a lot.

No use buying the CP-E4 unless you shoot in the rain often.
You're just paying for the weather seal. ![]() That's all. That's the difference between the E3 & E4 and the E3 is cheaper. |

More than that...about $20-$25 thereabouts. I'm also thinking about getting one myself.
But heck...who knows the weather seals may come in useful....esp if you use in tandem with the 580EXII which is also weather sealed. |

I got the CP-E4 from OP yesterday for $250. It does recharges much faster now but I can hear a faint buzzing sound coming from the red LED when it's lighted. Wondered if it's normal. If not, I'm gonna go back for an exchange.
