Image is very sharp. The bg color looks like the image was pasted there...very uniformed bg color

Hello, this is a great picture. May I know what this "Rear Curtain Slow Sync @ GN=2.8M" means? Obviously it's got to do with the flash but I'm not quite sure what. Also, the distance should be quite far but how do you reach with the flash?
