Default Olympus service centre has moved

Reposting this message from the Olympus forum at the suggestion of another CS member.

Just discovered yesterday that Olympus's service centre has moved from High Street Centre to

491B River Valley Road
Valley Point Office Tower
#13-03
Tel: 1800-6596787

Apparently the office is at the end of River Valley Road near Lower Delta Road.

Thanks.
Egnaro has already informed us in this forum a couple of months ago.

Yeap, more 'accessible' to me, haha despite the long bus ride x_X
Just went there yesterday to send my flash and body in for svcing too.

On a sidenote, I asked the service personnel if it was possible to request lens cleaning (due to dust) to be done in other Olympus svc center sites besides Singapore's and was told, no... I wonder if cater managed to request to have his lens sent to other Oly svc site to have it thoroughly cleaned...

Been there last week to send in my E500 body. The guy at help desk bring in to let the technician to check, return to me within 10 mins to have the camera fixed and it's FOC !

I 'm impressed!

Just wondering, what may be the problem?

I actually accidently dropped my camera on the floor. Then it simply can't capture any photo when I snapped, only black image.

Service seems to be better ..... at least there are people around to answer questions.

Maybe at the previous place they were out in Boat Quay .... or Funan ... or ... wherever. The new place ..... no where to go

Lol, yeah service has improved at the olympus service centre. What they need now is a good marketing department that caters its followers. No need for big bus ads. Just once in a while give somebody 5k for a good shot with a OM .
