I took these 2 photos sometime back and after getting Lightzone, I thought I'll reprocess them and see what happens.
HDR shot, more of an practise to put some of the things I've read to work. ![]() Not a HDR shot, just processed with Lightzone. ![]() |

haven't really been to Henderson yet but, the 1st photo has this little chunk of whatever's on the right which is distracting. You may want to crop the picture, and it kinda has no focus point, due to the vast sky and trees. Maybe a long crop(if that's what you call it) would be better. 2nd pic, a standard henderson pic nicely done in terms of color tone, but the people around spoilt it but it was a good picture, BLAME THE PEOPLE! ![]() |

composition, composition.
like others have mentioned, #2 is extremely cluttered because of people. not sure if you should blame them actually, since you have a choice not to shoot. hard to find a period where there is nobody around though, must admit. for #1 - have quite a bit to say about this picture, but perhaps it is better if you think it through yourself. why did you choose this frame and composition - i.e. what is the idea behind the shot, what have you done to make the viewer's eye stay IN the picture? ![]() |
