It's true that SFs are over hyped what I like about SFs is the build quality & the TIR optics optimised for throw. I use have have a few Fenix lights but sold them away after liking the SF's build & quality.
For $100-200, there are afew other brand in the market which are worth getting, Jetbeam, Olight, Dereelight, Fenix, Liteflux.
actually im quite tempted with the inova inforce.. the CF body looks interesting!
someone go buy it and bring it for our outings please :P
i have clickie lights from Fenix, Inova, Pelican, Streamlight & SureFire. Inova's X5 seems more reliable than the T-series, Streamlight Pro Polymers were problem free too. Fenix T1 is too new for me to comment.
headlamps from Pelican & Streamlight never have any clickie issues. my oldest headlamp is a Pelican from mid 2003, my Streamlights' still not old enough for my vote of confidence.
