![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Looks like it is triggered by on-board camera flash. Seems like the clip is to block the light of the flash. Batteries must then lie inside the ring flash. This looks so cool and compact!!!

The guide number is right there in front of you if you looked at the pictures!
The thing about ring flashes is they don't require to put out as much power as a traditional flash because the ring flash is for closeup photography. For instance the distance scale on a ring flash is in inches and cm instead of feet and metres. For those who still haven't figured out the guide number, with Metz the model number is the guide number in metres...it's 15m for ISO100 at 50mm. |

It operates on AAA batteries, but it doesn't say how many in the articles I've read. |

Wicked! GN15 versus SRF-11's GN11! Looks like something worth investing for those who owns the 35mm and 50mm Macro lens... (What is the filter size for the Sigma 105/150Macros?)
Looks very very interesting.

Tithes is no longer their dealer. Currently no distributor/dealer in Singapore.
Very clever design overall. Have to say, that it is better than Oly's.

Bro, don't get too excited about a ring flash... not a very versatile, though interesting light source. Buy only when you really need to use it alot, or else it is one of those things you are better off sharing...

If you look at the size of the ring flash itself, especially on a camera, it looks too small to use AA batteries, and it makes much more sense that it uses AAAs. |

Yeah, ur right. On the Metz site, it says AAA and 1000mah for 200 flashes with recycle times of 0.3 to 5 secs. Damn...that means I gotta go and get AAA rechargeables now.

GN 15 only... might as well just get The Ring Flash adaptor The Ring Flash Adpater
CP is distributor and can be seen on CP's website top right. Reuse existing Flash unit so GN is further based on what you have. ../azul123 |
