Default How do you go about selling your photos? (Stock Photography)

As the subject suggest, how to go about doing it? What is the whole process (from taking the picture to making it commercialize) like?

and supposely you took street shots, how to go about doing the copyright thingy?

Yeah I also had this question. For street shots I suppose if the subject is clearly identifiable, then you need a model release too. But how to go about selling stock photography ? And how ?

Yeah well in general that is true, but you never know for what reason they might sue. Maybe they simply dont like their photo to appear in public. Who knows what they might do ?

precisely, many people just get paranoid when they have their photo taken by a stranger. they might just think that you're mad, or even worse, become violent. well, it's hard to strike a balance..

For example in some schools in America, the school needs permission from parents before they can put photos of the students on the school website. The reason is because the parents are worried that some people might use the pictures to scout out targets for child pornography !! Well you never know what people might be thinking when they see a photographer secretly take their photo.
