CS homepage suggested revamp

Dear all,

Would like to suggest a revamp of the CS homepage to showcase a weekly photo taken by a CSer (to be decided by admin), which really makes a statement of the essence of CS as a leading photography forum.

At the moment, anyone who surfs to the CS portal will see lots of "What the Duck" comic strips and "imported" material from Rob Galbraith's site rather than original contributions/news from CSers.

I think it is a great idea to showcase our members work!

May I suggest a selection of photos (say 10-20) per week from CSsers and have them rotated so that every visit to CS homepage would display a refreshed photo? Then we would not have to wait a whole week to see a new photo?

Good idea from Zaren. A handpicked photo(s) by the admin & mods will be cool. The mods could probably nominate some to be shortlisted, then picked as 'featured' photo(s). Random photos will be a terrible idea though ... :P

Another suggestion: at the main page, upper left hand, there are several red boxes with links to "Latest News", "Latest Events", "Reviews" etc. Unfortunately all links are dead and the response is a standard page saying "Sorry, you have requested for a non-existent page."
I'm sure this can be fixed quite fast

Another minolta/Sony forum have done something like this, they chose the winner photo of each monthly competition and show by random as in their website
