I like this shot. Flower colours look vibrant! Is this taken with the 27mm?

Hi ay6810, Have been playing with HDR program Photomatrix, trial version, hence water mark.
Taken on Aperature Priority, F4.5, shutterspeed 1/160 sec ISO 160 Focal length of lens 6.00
Camera FZ 28 on tripod +-1.0 bracket exposure.
You can download trial version of Photomatrix from internet, was recommended to me by ombre or skyguy?? one of them.

Looking forward to meeting you on the outing in December,

    Cheers

Tried using panorama4 and must say it works better than Ca*** Photostitch software that I used to use. Damn that step-up ring...why does it show up?

Hi Ay6810, yeah Panorama4 is very user friendly, showed a few people at work and they were very impressed. One guy had just recently paid $60 to have 3 shots stitched at a photo shop and he was really pissed that I did similar in about 3 minutes, even more so when I told him I would do it for free.

As for tips on macro, I am a very green novice mate, only bought a set of close-up filters cuz I didn't know if it would be my thing but so far I like it, want to get a better macro lens.
I find using a tripod is a bit bothersome so I am trying a monopod, less legs to worry about allows you to get in closer and instead of continually shifting the tripod, you can gently pivot in and out a tiny bit to get sharp focus. So far it seems to be the way to go for me especially when you get little critters that keep moving. When we meet on the outing you can have a try with my stuff. It may not suit you but at least you won't have to waste money to find out.

Did you know the kids playing in the park? There is a lot of stuff in the media here in Oz about people taking pictures of kids without parental permission.
I teach, so dun want to have anything to do with them after hours in my own time. though the ones I teach are much older.

Have taken some photos of friends kids and it is nice to see the pics you have taken printed
and up on their walls when you go around to visit

Looking forward to meeting you soon, keep shooting.

Wow! didn't know that the OZ media was hyper sensitive towards kiddie pics, I guess its the lost kids/runaways/kiddie porn kind of issues surfacing...but I know that the SG media has yet to give a second look at this issues as our society's not that hyped up yet over such issues...thanks for the alerts though...lost another subject area if I may say so.

This's one's darker looking, which is preferable?

I like the first one best, but maybe try a long exposure with only tree lights on and no flash.
    Dun hurt to try?

    Hi Clunk,
Thanks for the advice! Both was shot w/o flash with the darker shot at a higher F5.6 value. The shutter speeds were both too slow to hold by hand so I used tripod. Good to maybe try one with flash, I suppose...took one just when nightfall set in...

Hi ay6810 have been outside trying to take some night shots. Is there anyway to do an exposure of longer than 8 seconds?
