Thanks for the comment. Most of us didn't prepare enough props for the shoot that day. Will look into that the next round.

Food photography is very challenging without proper setup & preparation it is very difficult to get good shots. Many of us didn't expect the complexity.

I hope we will can better the next round, must plan properly. Thanks

You hit the nail on the head Dolby!

Pre-planning is crucial to winning at least half the battle!

    The other half?

Think of food photography as shooting a technical project, with a VERY VERY impatient and temperamental model, ultra close-up where EACH & EVERY technical, environmental and styling imperfection is Magnified at least THIRTY times!

    But ... it's FUN isn't it?

Mabbie if TSers are interested, i can organize a workshop for you.

Just my noob comments, i feel that your composition and lighting is good, but the shadow on left is too much. Btw, how come ur brownie do not have chocolate sauce? at least some sauce can kill away those white area slightly.. just my feel..
Thanks and noted, I'm unsure about the sauce, it came with crumbs that I felt uncomfortable with which made the plate looked dirty. Maybe it was my fault to remove it haha

Agreed, i think food photography is very akin to product photography, now i realise that I have ignored alot of details when shooting still life. They are very similar!

Count me in for the workshop, after November pleaseee

Technically being a specialist in this field is hardwork. One shots may not be enough for a good product shots. It is not as easy but with good insight workshop it can really help for this style of photography.
Think of concepts and work towards it.

Hey, I passed by on that afternoon when you guys were shooting inside! Wanted to fill my stomach with my gf when I saw you guys shooting away, but was told that it was closed for the day. Tot Melvados was doing a revamp.

Anyway, the brownie with the ice-cream was heavenly, so was the beef lasagne. Missed the fizzie drinks which was removed off the menu the last time i went there. Thumbs up!

Apologize about that. We are having a private shoot event and hence, the cafe was closed for that few hours. Glad that you like the brownies and beef lasagna. Do drop by again.

You may speak to either Redsun, Kuantoh, Falconite or Blazer_workz in regards to this. As currently, we do decision as a committee, no direct person in-charge of this area.
