Hi akak, I did the wobble test with my FZ 28. It was nowhere near as wobbly as the one you posted, quite good actually, only minor wobble and I was waving cam back and forth quite strongly. Problem is it was taking forever to download image. It might just be that I dun know the shortcuts or tricks to make it happen quickly. After 25min had only downloaded 18%. Maybe someone a bit more savy can do soon.

Ok, this took an eternity to upload, dun know much about taking video clips only second attempt with FZ 28, just a wobble test. Tried to include some zoom while filming but was too big to upload. Maybe another time. This was just hand held.

Thanks for the wobble test.
I think it not noticable even if we try to pan slowly across a street with nice buildings while on holiday trip right? Now the choice for me is either LX3 or FZ28,... I have DSLR. This second toy is for me to have a video recording and yet must suit the loves of macro and long zoom that my teenager would like to have,... I prefer LX3 f2.0 but only 60mm, 24 MP/cm² pixel density FZ28 not too bad with it f2.8~4.4, 27~486mm, but at 36 MP/cm² pixel density Life is always about making choices,... |

Sorry didn't notice your posting. I bought the FZ28 for the 27-486mm superzoom that is ideal for all family occasion and traveling. The macro (flower mode) also useful to capture the foods, souvenirs, and small items that we want to capture during holiday. The LX3 should consider as a secondary camera only since it can't zoom in anything beyond 60mm. You would notice that all posting of LX3 is always wide angle scenery and night scene. Not sure you had bought yours? |
