    Talking Getting Electronic Shaver

    Hi guys,

I'm planning to get an electronic shaver.
    Came across "Philips Arcitec".
Anyone tried that before? Is it good?
    Is the shaving clean?

I'm currently using the 1085, and was using a Braun previously. For my face shape, I think the Braun gave me a cleaner shave.

I was told by the sales people over at The Shaver Shop (a shop that sells shavers, toothbrushes, anything personal hygiene related I suppose)......

what they say about tri-headed shavers (Philips/Remington comes to mind) are good if you have dense stubble to shave. they tend to be more harsh to the skin due to the cutting action of the hair, and as such isn't suitable if your hair growth isn't dense.

he said something about how most Asians would get single-row shavers (Braun) due to it being more suitable to typical Asian hair growth.

What the shop told you is correct. Through so many years of using electric shavers, I have tried Philips, Braun, Panasonic and Remington.

As an Asian, I rate Panasonic my first choice. It gives me the closest shave without irritation (I have very sensitive skin). The 35,000 rpm motor they use inside their shavers is not a marketing-hype. It really cuts into those stubborn short hairs without irritation. Made in Japan. The quality of their shavers is exquisite (better than any German, Dutch or American (made in china!)) shavers.

My second choice goes to Braun. Their shavers give me a good shave but not a close shave. It will cut into my skin if I want my shave closer.

Philips will be my third choice. Slow and boring shaving experience most of the time as I have to go over the same area twice to achieve the same smoothness Braun shavers give me.

To me, any Remington shaver is a piece of crap. Their current models are so plasticky. Their designs feel and look odd. My shaving experience with their shavers was equally crappy. Made in China.
