Letting go of a Kiev 6C at a good price. Comes with famous Vega-12 90mm f2.8 lens and I throw in a TTL metering prism for those without light meter.

Everything is working perfectly. Lens is clean and clear, no haze, no dust, no scratch, no fugus. Camera is clean, shutter curtain is new and tight.

The poor man's Pentacon - Kiev 6C is a medium format camera made by the Russian. It is a direct copy of East Germany's Pentacon Six medium format SLR cameras. It uses a similar lens mount (Kiev Type C), therefore most lenses designed for the Pentacon 6 will also mount on the Kiev 60. This means that Kiev 60 users have access to not only Ukrainian glass, but also Carl Zeiss Jena and other lenses produced for the Pentacon 6 and even the Exakta 66 cameras. From fish-eye 35mm to super-tele 1000mm.

The predecessor to the Kiev 60, the Kiev 6C is widely prefered to the 60, because that it was a better made camera and also has the ability to accept 220 while the Kiev 60 only takes 120 film. This is a work horse for the unfussy photographer.

With top down waist viewfinder, the Kiev 6C is a discreet and fast working street camera to capture the right moment. It takes 6x6 square format film which outbeat 35mm hands down and often associated with fine-art photography. If you decide to shoot film, you might as well shoot on a different format than the usualy 35mm.

Functionalities are the same as Pentacon Six cameras. It whether you prefer apple or orange. Both function the same way. But Vega-12 as we know has more "throw" therefore bokeh is extremely creamy, even shallower DOF than P6's standard lenses.

I deal mainly with P6s but occasionally I will come across some Kievs. And since not many can afford the minty or new P6s I'm selling, you can consider this awesome Russian built tank. It works like a P6 and has P6's mount. A cheap and very versatile camera with superb optic.
