You mean the newly announced Powershot SX1 Pro with Full HD movie recording?
Maybe it will launched together with the new 5D mk 2 in mid or end Nov.

Just checked out the specs at http://www.letsgodigital.org/en/came...1971/show.html.
It doesn't support AA batteries anymore..

When I saw the specs I was initially quite excited.. until the proprietary battery portion. AA was a factor when I got the Canon S1IS, Fujiflim S8000FD and the battery grip for my 450D.
Me giving this a pass.

Hold the horses.. I'd checked out Dpreview too, and it shows AA.
Hmm.. different sites mentioned different power source. Let's wait a while more until the proper reviews are out.

I realize, with a DCR-250 and some LED macro ring light, I have the possibility to shoot insect movies like those shown on LCD TV commercials..
