i hands on 1 in vivo city Canon center... it has the new 18-200 IS attached....
look and feel pretty similar to a 40D.... LCD no diff to me perhaps becos i am indoor... no comments on the IQ though cos never bring along a card... 18-200... very small and compact... guess it will be a fantastic walkabout lens... only down is it extends out like an elephant trunk.... retail px stated is 2099 body alone... how wonder how is it match up with the new D90.... D90 seems very promising with high iso noise control better than the D300... Last edited by blurboiboi; 19th September 2008 at 06:02 PM. |

If it's anything like the nikon LCD screen on the D300, I expect it to be much better than the one currently on my mark 3.
I could tell a big difference in resolution immediately when using the D300. |

Cant tell the difference of the 3 inch LCD resolution between 40D and 50D? Are you kidding me?
Even my mum can see the VGA (920,000)/ QVGA (230,000) diff.

Sales on sat for 50D is crazy! Almost everywhere is out of stock from Cathay, to John and OP. Seems everyone snatch when they just open shop in the morning
Lucky I got my last piece from Parisilk. MS Colour seems pretty cheap (1880), CP tot was 1860 but the last piece they mark up the price to 1950 (dunno why).

Hope you could post more reviews on the comparison betn the 40D and 50D. What's with this Err99 thingy? I dunno why this happens to Canon cams. I encountered this with my 20D also when I bought it within 1-2 weeks of its release. |
