Default Need help- Tamron 28-75 f2.8 serious flare

Does anyone use this lens before?

Mine version is with motor. Just bought it this week. Last night try this lens but found a serious flare.

Anyone can give some advice what i should do?

Is it because the filter?

Because before I buy this lens i found review that this lens got good flare control.

Thanks. Hope some one can give some guide what I can do.

Hoya UV filter. Buy it together with the lens. I just ask the guy give me the cheaper filter for protection only.

Ok let me try without the filter and use my better filter tonight. If because of the filter then will change it to pro filter.

Just worry is the lens issue...

Thanks!

As an aside, please get a tripod if you intend to do night photography.

If the light source is not in the image, yes it does.

Thanks a lot for all the infomation!

Last night back home too late no time test it. Will try it tonight.

Is it possible because of the lens issue. Some lens QA issue?

This is my first tamron lens so not very sure how's the Tamron lens QA. Will it like Sigma lens got soft and sharp copy?

Thanks!

You mean QC issue?

It might be possible, but the first suspect is still the filter. Try it without the filter and see.

I too have this lens.

No serious flare problem when combined with either my B+W UV or Cir Pl Filter.

My lens was "MADE IN JAPAN". My own research indicates that the Japanese ones have better QC than the Chinese ones.

I had flares on my B+W filter. But it's rare. 2875 has chinese ones?

Mine bought almost 4 years ago for Canon EF mount was made in China "from Japanese parts" or something like that. But no significant flare issues.
