The song "FLY ME TO THE MOON" by Frank Sinatra, playing softly at the boarding bay of the Singapore Flyer
Fly me to the moon Let me sing among those stars Let me see what spring is like On jupiter and mars In other words, hold my hand In other words, baby kiss me Fill my heart with song Let me sing for ever more You are all I long for All I worship and adore In other words, please be true In other words, I love you A sexy flight attendance checking boarding pass and distributing a plastic bag at the entrance. As you enter the capsule, an announcement is being broad cast over the PA system. "Ladies and gentleman, the crew and myself would like to welcome you on board to this evening's flight, I am Dennis Kee, you pilot for tonight. Weather this evening is expected to be cool, the sky should be clear so you should be able to see the full moon the night before Mid Autumn Festival, if you can. All passengers are advice to put on seat belt for their own safety. You are also advice to keep the plastic bag on hand for reason that you will soon find out." ![]() As the evening flight builds up speed, over the PA system comes the familiar voice, except its shaky and louder. "Passengers who have not fasten their seat belt can now forget about it since you are stuck onto the glass anyway. You are now experiencing 4G. Gentle reminder to all, if you feel like vomiting, pls puke into the plastic bag. A fine of $500 will be imposed to anybody who dirty onto the floor. The crew and myself sincerely hope you can tough it out, suck it in and take it like a man. Hopefully you can be in 1 piece after this ride." ![]() Same shaky and loud announcement came as the moon raises. "Ladies and gentleman, if you are still conscious, pls look out through the glass and you can see the near Mid Autumn Moon. To give you a better view of the moon, pls be prepared as I will be taking a 2G turn. Pls enjoy you last glimpse of the moon, cause that may be the last thing you will see." ![]() Over at the alighting bay, the song "BLUE MOON" by Ella Fitzgerald played softly, as passengers are being carried out on stretchers Blue moon You saw me standing alone Without a dream in my heart Without a love of my own Blue moon You know just what I was there for You heard me saying a prayer for Someone I really could care for And then there suddenly appeared before me The only one my arms will hold I heard somebody whisper please adore me And when I looked to the moon it turned to gold Blue moon Now Im no longer alone Without a dream in my heart Without a love of my own And then there suddenly appeared before me The only one my arms will ever hold I heard somebody whisper please adore me And when I looked the moon had turned to gold Blue moon Now Im no longer alone Without a dream in my heart Without a love of my own Blue moon Now Im no longer alone Without a dream in my heart Without a love of my own
