believe me, you will learn more tricks of the trade on Youtube. have you reached the chapter on ethics yet?

Never did join the club. Too boring and traditional in my opinion so me friends set up our own alternative group to share info.

see what chapter you are on, search on youtube and practice. After a while, you will find what the lecturer is sharing is simply word for word from the tutorial notes rather then real life experiences. Also read the camera manual.

There are nice places we found for secluded shots over at NP as well as very nice places for Macro especially insects and so on. good places to learn.

There are lots just that you need to have the eyes of photographer. I believe that Prodigy is having a photo exhibition, compare the shots on exhibit and compare with similar stock photos online and see the differences if any?

Thats not what i am trying to say, just that can you observe any differences like understand why the stock photographer took the picture that way.

    for example, this painting...
Why did Leo choose such a background for the portrait?

yup it's going to be exhibiting Xian Jie's and Kai Wen's photos which they took while in Cambodia I believe. Exhibition will be at Vivocity. I think I'll be dropping by to take a look at their work... they were photo journ students too haha...

and yes i agree that there's lots to be learnt on the internet... slowly finding my way around... we're more into darkroom techniques at the moment, not yet on to ethics... thanks for the advice anyway!
