Default Converting D80 for full time IR use

I am considering converting my D80 for full time IR photography. Does anyone know whether this can be done in Singapore and if so, how much does it cost?

You can call http://www.camerahospital.com/ for the pricing, from their website, the price starts from $280.

May not be a good idea.

The more recent camera bodies have better AA filters and this may be an issue for the IR to pass thru. The older cameras such as D70 and D1 would be better for IR conversion.

Check with the IR enthusiasts in the IR sub-forum for more info.
