Personally, I won't recommend using the 5700 for wedding shots... It's a little too slow.

Oh really? Have done it before. Slow but if you're used to the camera and it's functionality, it can be done

    Yup Agree with Fella
I have try shooting my FOC event, hehe the slow autofocusing really kill me, other than that it is an excellent camera, since i take landscape and building which wont run away, 5700 is fine for me, action and event is a no no no for 5700 (unless got tips on how to take better event photo by 5700 users).

Hi,Fella, tangoninazero thanks for your feed back not to worry as my brother is just a O.J.T as there will be a pro photographer there to take photo for me, he use a 1D(main) and a 1Ds(backup).

Shouldn't it be the other way round? (1Ds main and 1D backup)

    Thumbs up

I've used it for wedding before. U need to turn on "continuous focus" to speed up focusing. I use wide angle (1x) for candid shots and up to 4x for others. 8x can be slow. Know how your digicam behave and it can be a wonderful tool.

my take on using 5700 for events and wedding that need to be faster...

i would do so anyway, i mean i only have one camera, so for me it's a choice between no pictures at all, or some good pictures at least.

if i had another cam, then of course i have a choice, but i dun ehhehe.
