Talking Esplanade VR photo shoot

I finally managed to get official permission to do a couple of VRs on the Esplanade. Some photographers kenna chased away before (including me) so I decided to write in. I don't believe in playing hide and seek with security guards.

They were prompt to reply and helpful. I spoke to the management and better understood their side of the story. Unfortunately... the weather on that day was pretty sucky... oh well... at least I can add these VRs to my collection.

Just like the some archtecture overseas, the Esplanade's design is copyrighted. According to them, there have been several photographers selling the images as stock photos. That's why sometimes security will talk to you when they see you carry a big pro looking camera. They are completely okay if it is anyone just shooting for personal use. I guess it's sometimes the guards being overly cautious and on-the-ball.

I'm not a lawyer, so someone please correct me if I got this wrong.

Looking at the COPYRIGHT ACT at http://statutes.agc.gov.sg/ ,

Division 9 — Acts not Constituting Infringements of Copyright in Artistic Works Buildings and models of buildings

64. The copyright in a building or a model of a building is not infringed by the making of a painting, drawing, engraving or photograph of the building or model or by the inclusion of the building or model in a cinematograph film or in a television broadcast.

Edit : Forgot to add, great work. I really enjoy the VR experience
