Thread: Homemade Diffuser Test

    Default Homemade Diffuser Test

    Hi!

Hope to get some opinions, which one of the picture is best?

In the options: "90 degrees" ceiling bounce means point upwards. My bad

i think you meant 45 degrees ceiling bounce with the omnibounce..?

Uhhmm.. are you aware that there's a speck (or dust) in the images you provided?

It's in the same place in all 4 pictures. Time to get your sensor cleaned.

I think 3rd one looks best, only thing is that noticed that the area above the toy's left eye is blown, not sure if its the inconsistency with the exposure or diffuser.

I think it's obvious that #3 is best, but that should be obvious as you are using the ceiling as the main light. With such a big bounced light source, the effect will be softest for #3. In any situations, the best effect will be achieved with the biggest light source, in this instance, the celiing.

For diffusers i think you should test without ceilings or very high ceilings. THat way you depend only on what you have on your flash

    my 2 cents

You need one more diffused light source, in my opinion, 45 degree up from the bottom.
