Default Missing Shutter Count Data For D3?

As the title suggest,i cant find the shutter count data @ all.
Am using opanda iexif v2.3 n other s/w to look for the data..
on a weird but interesting note,i was able to put the data from my old D70s n D200 pics using iexif...

anyone able to extract the data?

Try using picaview.

does picaview even let us view the exif data?

Opppsss sorry2,,its not picaview,,,,I use Preview Ectractor to see the shutter count.This dont have exif data.

This online site is good too http://regex.info/exif.cgi
Just enter the file location or even any online pictures location and it will show the exif data.
It will also show the lens used.
Look for the Shutter Count field

did u change the raw converter used or shooting format from raw to jpg or so? iirc some raw converter will discard the shutter count and even ISO reading.

erm..i think i know y shutter count is missing...

i think after PP is done,while saving my work,CS removes the data from the exif..
anyway i can retain the data?

Do not use "Save for Web" and the metadata will be retained.

What's the workflow?

If you did not copy&paste to a new file PS should retain EXIF when you Save As.

If you can't figure out which process is removing the EXIF, then use something like Exifer to backup then restore the EXIF.

PS usually save my files into a new folder when i use Scripts>Image Processor.
that should be the cause of the prob.
