Thread: Legends of digital cameras..

    Talking Legends of digital cameras..

    What are the product lines which are superb but then the manufacturer decide to terminate it OR the succssor never sustain?

    1) F31fd's noise control.. All F series can not reach..
    2) Sony R1.. terminated..
    3) Canon G series.. G7/9 CMI..
    4) Canon PS Pro 1.. terminated..
    5) Pany FZ10/20.. Later FZ's seem not as good..

    What else?

    U see the bow? Right in the middle lor.. then next to it is the flash.

    I bet the view finder's thru the eyes
    Nikon D700,50mm f1.8, 14-24 f2.8, 24-70 f2.8, 70-300 f4-5.6

    It's guaranteed to get smiles without a lot of work. Try getting those from the D70.

    Canon 10D.

    The IQ and styling was never duplicated in the later bodies.

    actually, i would go for the Canon D30, which the 10D is based on. the D30 is the first consumer-grade DSLR to kick start this (not counting the first 'DSLR' from kodak, DSC-100, the 1.3MP DSLR...).

    another one i would think to be called a 'legend' would be the canon 300D, the first sub-$1k DSLR.

    I was answering very specifically to TS... the successor sustained the development until 10D... then they (Canon) took a different approach.

    same for 300D... it's the first...but yet to be the last... it's improved even till the current incarnation of 450D... the soul of 300D is still within.
