Default Panasonic DMC - G1

Very interesting

But how come..

• 60 -1/4000 sec
• Bulb (up to 8 mins)
Flash X-sync 1/160 sec

A little let down.

But this model doesn't look like a PnS at all more like mini-DSLR. Was hoping more like a slightly thicker LX3.

i think it still not quite possible for sensor of that size... the lens will still need to be huge enough to cover the image circle. at least its getting close to the size of fz28.

Slowly first...

If you look at the present design remove the grip and EVF you pretty much have a slightly thicker PnS, of course discounting the lens lah.

can use the adaptor... but still why bother getting a adaptor and mount it there when the overall size is going to be same as the 4/3 size and now with a PNS grip.

These people don't get it, Micro 4/3 is great for fixed focal length lenses, and a small body like PnS or rangefinders. It should never be seen to competee with DSLRs but as a more competent big brother to PnS.

their current target market are P&S users... so zoom is a must.

Prices in Japan
80,000 yen for body only
90,000 yen for one-lens kit (with 14-45)
125,00 yen for 2-lens kit
