Thread: Singapore night race

    Default Singapore night race

hi all i was just wondering if you were going to night race, what lens would you use. i mean considering the low light conditions you would probably need a fast lens. and those who try panning the cars as to go by, is it possible?

As I just mentioned in the other thread, there will be 3,000,000 watts worth of lighting installed for this race so it will be just like day time around the track...

Errm...panning is only not possible if the car is coming straight at you.. even that, u can still pan if you are high up, its just a different perspective. =)

You can bet any such spots will be cordoned off. Think they'll let you watch for free?

There are some free-to-view spots. But I think they're all lousy.

Wonder how flash photography is going to affect the drivers, though...

I don't think even the press are allowed to use flash.

At the Olympics, I remember Vincent Laforet specifically saying on his olympics packing site that they are not allowed to use flash for any of the events.

Yah, but what about the spectators? Sure got more than a few jokers who will fire the flash on their compacts.

Anyway, on a related note, I go town last weekend and see, like all the F1 infrastructure not ready yet. Like, reaaaaaally far from ready. The organisers and builders are really cutting it close, huh?

They will hang up large canvas sheet to blk out from seeing outside. On the inside, it's adverts. Already up at some parts.
