Photoshop - advise please

Just a small matter on Photoshop. I noticed that previously when I was using Clone Stamp or Healing Tool, I get an error ,essage as well as a "thomp" sound if I click somewhere outside the image. However for some reason, my PS do not produce that error sound anymore. Is it something that I have pressed wrongly?

i only remember that sound happens when i forget to press alt to take the sample...

1) make sure you are selecting the right layer.

2) alt click to select the area which you want to clone from before applying the clone/healing brush function.
