Getting D90 online

To all potential D90 owners, ever considered getting the D90 online from reputable merchants now that the D90 kit is in stock in the US?

I did a quick calculation.. shipping + local GST would come up to around $2.1k. Worth it? Hmm..

Since we don't have news of local pricing yet, it's better to still wait... if you do a direct conversion of US rates, you'll end up with < S$2k. If that's really the local price, paying at least S$100 extra just to use it for a few weeks before it reaches local shores may not sound that worth it... Some more there's the issue of warranty too.

Are you desperately in need of the D90?
Or else, you can wait until stocks arrive in stores. My guess is the RRP will be $1888. In any case, the longer you wait and hold, the cheaper D90 becomes. Why worry?

True. Like all electronics stuff, it can only get cheaper.. but sometimes the temptation is just too great!

Guess i will hold out for a little more. Hope it arrives like the other members estimated.. end Sep or early Oct.

I'm pretty sure D90 will come soon. The Digital Life section of the Straits Times today, has featured the D90. So it won't be long before it arrives.

Its SG$1.8k if you exclude shipping and local GST but SG$2.1k once you factor in shipping (ard US$70) and 7% GST (ard SG$100+).
