Does anyone else have this issue?
When I shoot on shutter priority mode with auto-iso on the meter only works for the largest aperture. In other words for faster shutter speeds iso is increased automatically to maintain exposure. However, once I slow down the shutter speed to where it needs to stop down the aperture to maintain exposure it just gives a HI reading for aperture and meter tells me its over exposing. For example: ISO : 200 Shutter: 1/50 Aperture: 1.4 Everything works fine, but if i slow the shutter to 1/25 ISO: 200 Shutter: 1/25 Aperture: HI It gives me the HI reading instead of stopping down to f/2, and the meter shows one stop overexposure. Do all nikons work like this? With autoiso off aperture varies properly to compensate for the shutter, just that it sticks wide open when autoiso is turned on. |
