I'd like to ask if this metering will take into account the centre portion of the frame or centre from the AF point..
Was testing out just now and it seems like metering centrally from the AF point.. Is this true for all of you ? |

hmmm...that's interesting.
to be honest, i took for granted that it is from the centre of the frame (not from the AF point). can u share a photo of ur finding? I will try it out this weekend as well. |

yea...kinda unlikely ![]() Read the manual again? Could you have set it to 'spot-metering'? Last edited by Daedalus Trent; 9th September 2008 at 09:25 PM. |

Should be from centre of frame...
8mm should be set as default |

IIRC centre-weighted means the exposure is calculated based on the average of the whole frame, hence there's a very low chance of over/under exposure.
The 8mm thingie is for spot metering, where you specify the size of the spot used for metering. |
