Page 19 of the manual stated clearly that you should remove the hood adapter ring when using the flash. This is absolutely true. I have tried this out, and consistently get underexposed photos (100%) with the adapter ring on. When this is removed, its as good as any other digital camera. Try it out. The difference is very obvious. So, for those who has been using the flash with the adapter ring on, you have been using the incorrect way.
