    Hey guys whats the difference when filters are 62mm or 72mm??

    Different size.

    Check your lens. In front, there is a size difference. Normally it is also reflected on the lens cap.

    as zac said, different lens take filters of different sizes. a 62mm filter is a filter with a diameter of 62mm. for example, a Nikkor 80-200mm f2.8 lens takes a filer of 77mm(if i recall correctly), a Nikkor 50mm f1.8mm takes a 52mm filter.

    after knowing wat is the different size, then next will be wat are the different types

    as in circular polarizer (CP) filter, infra-red (IR) filter and many more. and the price increase wif size. a good brand like:

    can easily cost > $100
    Photographs doesn't arouse me, but the hard work it took to make them does.

    Btw, some filter sizes are more common than the rest, like 52mm, 67mm, 77mm. This is because many lenses accept filters of these sizes. Meaning you can interchange your filters.
