I have been using it for a year.. a sharp and light macro lens, reali value for money.. good for flowers....
not so good for insects or butterfly as a bit short....
also its AF may be a bit slow...
    thats my experience with it...

Very simple light piece of lens for me...

I use mine stopped down at f8 most of the time and it's excellent. For samples, check out my flickr site.

thanks for the reply..guys..is the AF really that slow? if i use the inbuilt flash with the lens to take a object in dark surrounding, will the body of the lens block the flash and cast ugly shadow?

Yes and yes bro. But its a very sharp piece of lens, and I use MF most of the time when I shoot macro with this lens anyway.

Do note that this lens extends when focussing.

Hey brudders, is the Tamron 90mm more worth the money or just top up around $200 more to get the EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro?

Since you said 'just', it means S$200 is okay for you. Go for it, the autofocus is faster, silent, and the lens doesn't extend when autofocusing.
