    Thumbs up A Kodak Moment

    The Times Of Your Life
Words & Music by Bill Lane & Roger Nichols
    Recorded by Paul Anka, 1975

    E7 A D9 A D9
    Good morning yesterday,

    A6 D9 AM7 D9
You wake up and time has slipped away.

    Bm7 A E F#m Bm7 A E F#m
And suddenly it's hard to find the memories you left behind.

    D9 Bm7 E7 E7/6
Remember? Do you re - mem - ber?

    E7 A D9 A D9
    The laughter and the tears,

    A6 D9 AM7 D9
    The shadows of misty yester-years,

    Bm7 A E F#m Bm7 A E F#m
The good times and the bad you've seen and all the others in between --

    D9 Bm7 E7 E7/6 D9 E7 E7/6 AM7 DM7 AM7 F#my
Remember? Do you re - mem - ber the times of your life?

    Bridge:

    Em7 Gdim DM7 F#m7
Reach back for the joy and the sorrow,

    C#m7-5 F#7 B
Put them away in your mind.

    Em7 Bm7-5 AM7 F#m
For memories are time that you borrow

    Am7 Gdim Bm7-5 E7
To spend when you get to to - mor - row.

    E7 A D9 A D9
    Here comes the setting sun.

    A6 D9 AM7 D9
The seasons are passing one by one.

    Bm7 A E F#m Bm7 A E F#m
So gather moments while you may, collect the dreams you dreamed today.

    D9 Bm7 E7 E7/6
Remember, will you re - mem - ber

    D9 E7 E7/6 AM7 DM7 AM7 DM7 AM7
The times of your life, of your life, of your life.

How many of you still remember the commercial vividly? I was only a small kid, literally a small kid when it was playing on the television. Can't remember when it stoped airing on the television, but it sure did leave a very lasting impression on me. The commercial featured several photographs during a person’s life—births, childhood, high school graduation, weddings, etc. while Anka sang "Good morning yesterday, you wake up, and time has slipped away…so gather moments while you may…Remember, the times of your life." And to think that that was 25 odd years ago.

For those of you who are too young to know what I am talking about, click onto this link and see if you have heard of this song.

    Yes! I remember that song.

I cannot remember the images of the ad, but always linked this song to Kodak.

How about the coca-cola song "I'd like to teach the world to sing"? The ad was aired noramlly around Christmas time and it shows a group of people holding a candle each and they form the shape of a christmas tree.

Got lyrics and chords from a search using googles. The mp3 link was another lucky find. Have not heard this song in ages, and I listened to it for over an hour again an again last night. Doing the same thing now, and trying my darnest to recall the commercial.

How about openning this thread to talk about very old TV ads and see who is the oldest here with the best memeory?

Here's a quiz: in the days when we use only 6-digit telephone numbers, what is the number 538766 related to?
