Smile waterfall in huangshang, china

this picture took during my trip to huangshang last week. Wonder how to make it more natural, smooth yet attractive as I still new to my Olympus E510.
As it is afternoon after raining, there is always some mist. Should I use metering ESP with compensation exposure +0.3? And I also tend to use slow shutter around 1/20 to make the water "smooth", will it be too "Artificial?"

Anyone could help? Thanks.

You need to use a longer shutter speed to achieve the silky water effect. A good tripod is a must and maybe a ND filter to stop from over exposure. Try to shoot again early in the morning or in the evening when the sun is not as strong. Set the shutter speed to 1s or more, lowest ISO and F8 and above. Play around with the settings till you get what you wanted.

maybe change the orientation of the camera to portrait instead of landscape, then zoom in a bit more?

den set lowest ISO and 1s shutter, f10 (depending on light). think it will look pretty good with the "silkky smooooth" water. =)

Sorry to hijack thread, but how much does a ND filter cost like maybe the 2 stop one?

No need to excuse, just don't hijack threads. Check the MO sections and B&S.
