I guess for those pictures, you may lower your ISO to 400 and use a slower shutter of 1/8 sec and let the mega O.I.S to do the work of stabilizing the hand shake blur.

Er... I beg to differ bah. We cannot use DSLR result to compare with this little compact we have here. After all LX3 is still under the compact category with a 1/1.63" sensor. Well, I admit the panasonic noise is not exactly the lowest in compact, but bear in mind the details that is in the photo, they are slight more detailed compare to other cameras which cleans out the details with the noise together.

If anyone wants cleans hi iso photo, i think he should just stick with his DSLR, cos there is reallie this much a compact can do. For me, i feel that iso 800 is still usable if you get the right focus, sometimes the softness of the photo might be due to handshake, cos shooting at 1/30 and below.

For night shoot, get a tripod or gorillapod and shoot at ISO 80. You will see that the noise will be at a minimum. Try shoot also with high Apperture setting (F8).

Any of u Photoshop or LR user who shoot RAW with LX3?

Feel like being treated like 2nd class customers by Adobe.... They are not supporting LX3 yet but later cams from the main stream brands are being supported.
