Akita-shi Kanto Group was invited to Singapore for Chinatown Mid Autumn Festival Opening Celebration (31st Aug08) for this year (and also last year).
As for whether they will be invited again for next year MAF2009.. the decision will only be make nearer to the date.
However.. not sure whether will there be other organisation willing to fork out the money to bring them in.. =)

Red face Re: Japanese Performers

I was there too and I took alot of photos. I will try to post them on this web-site address - http://tb53.multiply.com. The performance was something we have not seen before.
BTW there were a few other photographers there. Is there any other photographer who has taken the show, kindly post them.
They were also at Chinatown for the Mid Autumn light up by President Nathan. According to my friend who was there, the space was very cramp and it was very hard to get good shots. The Central SC was a better location.

Your close-up pictures are great.

I think the performance in Central SC was fantastic, the atmosphere very friendly, very relax yet exciting, also given me opportunties to capture some decent pictures. I like the interval part, where performers and audiences interact, trying out to lift the lanterns and pose for pics. Thank you Japanese Kanto performances and those involved in organising this events.
