Default how to revive your dslr when it dont start

my eos d60 died last thursday.

when turn "on" the top lcd shows my:
    1) iso setting than
    2) para 1 and just hang there.

but i didnt want to replace it now, was hoping it will last for another 2-3yrs, than i upgrade to 50d when the price drops.

    so what did i do?

back in the 70s, what do you do when the tv or radio or electrical appliance doesnt work?

HIT IT! AND HIT IT HARD!!!!

and it suddenly boot up!!!! so i was able to shoot the performance at "central" for mid autum festival celebration last night.

praying hard it stays alive until 50d price drop.

Maybe can write to Canon, ask them to include it in their manuals in the "Troubleshooting" page. .

Imagine, "Hit it! And Hit it hard!!!" . Translated in 20 different languages.

my partner and i had been together for some years now (bought it off b&s here when 10d was launched). but it had been through inhuman treatment by yours truely.

so you see, contradictory to common believe and marketing strategy, polycarbonate exterior with a stainless steel inner chassis cameras can take tons of abuse.

But yu already tried the weather resistance feature when yu unknowingly dipped it into the River for about half a minute leh. Seems to work well!

no lar, dont say that hor, wait he come hamtum me ok. i got read the specifications one you know. it is stated that this combi is "weather sealed" and not "water resistant". i only held it outside the umbrella and let the rain clean the camera and lens. theITguy only know how to use the camera and has never clean it since the day he bought it.

but it didnt go through the foam party test, fridge test, oven test and short circuit test lay.

comes to think of it, wouldn't it be great if this tank last until 60d comes out, than i upgrade from d60 straight to 60d.

like that will canon give me a long service award (prize being the 60d)?

Will always hab the info on how long he can put his E3 is washing machine, how long can toast or microwave, on what setting and 4 how long! I mean, how many camela owners even know dis?
