I didn't go to the Open House, shot these from Punggol instead. I guess the helos fly from SBAB to PLAB to take part in the aerial display, then fly back there.
#1: CH-47SD Chinook ![]() #2: The hook for underslung cargoes can be clearly seen. ![]() #3: Check out the 'prancing horse'! ![]() #4: AH-64D Longbow Apache ![]() #5: AH-64D Apache ![]() Unfortunately the fast jets didn't fly near my place, so didn't get good shots of them.

Wow great shot, looks like you must be in the same formation to get this great shot. Almost same height level as the aircraft. Or they must be flying very low.

Haha, thanks! I shot these from a 6th floor rooftop garden. Yeah they were flying quite low.

Managed to find another spot for the evening display and got some shots of the fixed-wing aircraft.
Mods, can help to edit this thread title and remove the "helos" word? #6: RSAF C-130 bringing some participants of the open house for a joyride. The rain had just stopped, maybe that's how I managed to get the nice prop trail effect. ![]() #7: Falcon Scramble! ![]() #8: Getting airborne in a hurry. ![]() #9: Tiger Takeoff. ![]() #10: Banking left, almost on top of me! ![]()

Nice and sharp shots you have there..
Seems like the Paya Lebar airbase is not the best place to shoot the aerial display after all.. ![]() |

Thanks! I would have loved to have gone for the open house, but have to rush some work stuff at home during the weekend.
