Thumbs up Basic Techniques of Photography (Book Recommendation)

    Hi All,

As a newbie,I've been searching for a good book on photography. Finally, through someone's recommendation, I've just bought this book:

    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...006800-7209754

The writings is very easy to understand and explains very well the basic techniques that any serious photography student should know.

It's a big book (more than 400 pages) and I'm still at page 49. I could hardly put it down once I've started reading it.Didn't regret getting this book. It's abit pricey though (abt $80) and you could order it from the local bookstores. I highly recommend it.

Very good book . Kinokuniya has volume 2 in stock, vol 1 sold out.

For further reading, I'd suggest the 2nd and 3rd volume of Ansel Adams' 3-volumed: Camera, Negative, Print. Available for loan at selected public libraries.
