I was SURPRISED to be ALONE near Benjamin Sheares Bridge taking Fireworks during the Singapore Fireworks Celebrations 08! Do you guys know of this place? - Why is everyone flocking to the grass patch behind NTUC buidling? I think my area offers a better view of the fireworks!
![]() Pls visit http://www.flickr.com/photos/tank008...7606907202814/ - All the pics are there! I don't wanna upload twice! ![]() PS: Give your comments too! I wanna improve my Techique! Thanks! Last edited by tank0085; 24th August 2008 at 02:50 AM. |

Ehh.. I was on the bridge itself for the fireworks, but after seeing this, even I'll be flocking to that NTUC field / merlion park next time. Water really enhances the look of fireworks. The bridge in the foreground of the fireworks seems to be abruptly blocking the view, and it's stealing a lot of focus from the main subject (the fireworks) itself.

haha.. i went to ntuc building for NDP, however felt that I should go some other places! The pictures that u showed me are nice however, I felt that the construction sites somehow ruin the brilliant pics! Hope the IRs will be up soon!

to each his own.
your chosen location from the look of your pics.. hmm.. i wonder why you go there unless it is your intention to feature the BSbridge. |

Hi guys, thanks for the suggestions! I am wondering are there any other places besides the grass patch behind NTUC buildings?

everyone has its preference as to where to shoot. no doubt that the view from NTUC field is great, its also great to see a new perspective. Well done bro. great shots!
if you keep going down to the left.. you will hit marina east. offers a great view too. you might need to climb over a fence or something, not very accessible. |

TS, this is along the riverside almost right in front of the flyer. I was there on 22nd Aug and met 2 CSer. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3264/...e8df008b23.jpg The problem with this place is the light from the bridge tend to dominate the photo. But you have good shots! |

Jenson, what a nice shot there!! hahaha.. but guess u were a little slow.. if the fireworks are spreading outwards, ur pic will be much much better. At least there was no smoke!

Ha ha. You are right!
![]() I setup my gear about 5 mins before the firework start. No intention to take the shoot because I thought the firework start around 7~8 pm and went for dinner with my friend. Just try my luck after having dinner around 8.45 pm. First time there and no ideas where the firework will appear in the sky. ![]() |
