Shot from the Stands - Singapore Fireworks 2008 (French Team)

Got a ticket into last night's french fireworks display. It looked like it was going to rain before the display started but luckily the clouds cleared in time. However the wind was pretty weak and towards the end of the display, the smoke were so thick that many of my shots were not usable

Tried the black card technique for the first time... Except I forgot to bring a black card! So I improvised and used the lens cap of my 17-55mm to cover the lens in between shots, taking care not to shake the cam... Seems to work as well...

Here are some of the usable ones... Comments welcomed!
