hey, anyone knows if original or third-party cable releases are better?

I used to have 3rd party cable release for my Nikon DSLR and it really spoil easily. Now using original and it really last.

Depend on which model, my D300 & D80 both use different model.
All major reputable store have it, it cost less than $100. |

DIY for some Canon models costs less than $5 for material plus some time plus some experience with soldering iron
Check the details in Internet, if the cable release is nothing but a few switches you can easily DYI it. Gives some personal touch ![]() |
