Default Isit possible to take NDP's firework with my digital camera?

    Hi all,

Do you guys think it is possible to capture the fireworks during NDP using a Digital Camera? Im using a POwershot A-60 which has optical zoom of only 3x. Do you think its possible?
    Thank you for your attention.

    Regards,
    Guorong

Yes it's possible but camera shake will be a big problem so a tripod is strongly advice......

Just point to the sky, get the required zoom and setting you want and wait for the shoots....

Was just wondering does anyone know of good spots to capture the fireworks on the actual day? Thinking of lugging my tripod to try out my canon s50

actually u dun need much zoom if u r in that area. u may even find that ur wide angle attachment will come in useful, so bring it along. i like it wide, but thats a peronal preference

one of my lucky digital shots this evening (not much handshake).

    Photo

f2.8; 1/4s (lowest on my finepix F401z); handheld
juz point n shoot at hopefully the right moment!

hope my film ones come out nice!

oh yah, i shot this near cosy bay! not bad a place to shoot from.

You might want to use a remote to activate the shutter and perhaps use manual settings?
