ACC extension wire for HVL 1000 flash?

Hi guys,

i know this is available in the states.. but does anybody know if we can get an extension wire for the flash that is connected to our 717/707?

i mean like those which we used to extend the length of the wires of the headphone from the HIFI

the reason why i am asking is because i was wondering if i could put my flash further away or attach it to my softbox to fire away...

the plug looks a lot like our walkman earphones ones.. but i really dare not try it and risk short circuiting my 707 or the flash...

so in case someone has already done so, pls advise if it is workable?

or if anybody knows of such a wire...

One of the places i would think you could start searching for is sim lim towers. Just get any that fits the socket. Thou i haven't tried it before, I have serious doubt that it will "short circuiting my 707 or the flash". Worst come is the extension would not work only wat.

not sure about the short circuit..

sony's equipment damn strange ... they are very proprietary... sigh...

as for SONY centre... can forget it because i tried in vain to explain to them why i would want to have the flash far away from the camera....
