Hey, read some hk news on this lens is not 'true 300mm'

it is usual for the focal length to be reduced when focusing on near subject due to internal shifting of the glass elements on such super zoom lens.

hmmm... that i not sure need to test it, as we are clarifying thing here i got something to clarify too. hope u dun mind
pics i took with this lens look blur even i focus on a subject and later zoom in to see how sharp it is. hope other user can comment on that, RayDream do the article talked anything abt that? |

If you are expecting to see phenomenal sharpness at 100%, I am sorry to disappoint you. It doesn't happen, almost all the time. Let's not forget we're talking about a superzoom here, not even a top-of-the-range prime lens.
