    Default Ultimate Photo Use Laptop...

If anyone still needs to ask which laptop to get...

http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/con...id=7-9314-9557 (the source of the news reported in the CS Front Page News page)

17" screen, up to 8GB RAM, up to 3 HDD, mini wacom tablet, dedicated workstation graphics (might be useful in next edition of Photoshop), integrated screen calibrator (but its a huey), SD and CF (fast UDMA capable) card reader, a minidock adds eSATA, dual-link DVI and display port video output, and a quad core extreme edition processor... as long as you don't mind schlepping a 4kg laptop around...

the only thing it doesn't have is a powered FW slot...

Also, note the link near the bottom of the page that points to a potentially very interesting laptop from HP as well... with comparable stats but that is about 1kg lighter... but with their "Dreamcolor" screen

Most likely it will not be available for the SG market.

Even if it was, SG's price would be about 25% higher than what it would cost in the US.

M16A2 is under 4kg loaded with ammo...

anyway, why do we need a compromised laptop when we can get a sky's-the-limit customizable desktop with cheaper price?

but you can't make money with an M16... not in the streets of Singapore anyway... and for me, I'ld rather hand-carry a laptop on a flight than check-in a desktop...

all that being said, HP's model with their new brand of screen looks more promising in terms of colour repro...
