It was a fantastic finish by Phelps. He was trailing almost last at the turn, and somehow managed to grab 1st at the very last stroke. I thought the Serbian had managed to hold off Phelps at the finish, but the video replay really show how Phelps managed to reach in 0.01s ahead

Maybe Phelps won by having a longer finger

Anyway, the 8th Gold should be happening ...
Heard he will be rewarded with US$1,000,000 plus millions from sponsors .

    Made in China

Why must the judges award Keixin a gold when Nastia got the same point as her?

I was not pleased to learn that Nastia Liukin had been denied a gold in the uneven parallel bars due to a tiebreaker. Judging in gymnastics is under enough fire -- see Sacramone, Alicia -- so no fuel need be added.

Here is my question -- why not two golds? Ties result in two medals of the same color in several different sports. Two silvers were awarded in track and field in the women's 100m dash. Why is it necessary to break a tie in a sport that is overly subjective in the first place? If Liukin and China's He Kexin had routines that were truly identical in difficulty and execution, I see no harm in saying that and giving them both gold. If it is absolutely necessary to break the tie, do as other sports do and continue the competition. Have a tiebreaking routine with three or four required elements. Gold should not come down to an obscure reason.

If I had a gold to give out, I would give it to Liukin, not for her routine, but for her response.

"Itís nothing I can control, and honestly, I can say it has been very fair to me, and I got the biggest gold medal of them all," said Liukin, winner of the womenís all-around gymnastics gold.

Classy and well-spoken yet she still points out that she won the crown jewel of the Olympics in gymnastics. Well done, Nastia.

Made in China <<< i am assuming that you are not happy with the judges decision.

Firstly, you must be cleared that the judges are mostly (if not ALL) foreigners, and so there should not be a conflict of interest, and I am sure these judges are not made in China.

Secondly, how do you feel if the question is changed to:

Why must the judges award BLANIK Leszek (Poland) a gold when BOUHAIL Thomas (France) got the same point as him?

I think the rules are there for a reason, and that they apply to ALL competitors.

Im still suspicious of biasness, since the Chinese govt could have pressured the judges to award the Gymnastic trio more marks..and to boot there's still the age limit controversy.
Yang Yilin look okay but certainly not Keixin..probly abt 12-14 to boot.

    Sans sour grapes haha

Biasness again. Must they award Chinese Athlete Zou Kai when Italian CASSINA Igor was doing as well and even better than him IMO?
Anyway, what goes around comes around - The Chinese'll see themselves at the biased end soon in the 2012 London Olympics
