![]() Okay here's the "red" cresent moon I shot yesterday... no PP done, just crop. ![]() Tonight, I think I've nailed it. In its original colour here Using Nikon 55-200mm, I thought I can do much better with my Sigma 70-300mm lens.

Anyway here's the EXIF for the 3rd one if you're interested; it may NOT be the perfect setting, but thats how I got it done. Tripod mount; the #1 and #2 were hand held. Camera: Nikon D40 Exposure: 0.002 sec (1/500) Aperture: f/5.6 Focal Length: 300 mm ISO Speed: 200 Software: Picasa 3.0 YCbCr Positioning: Co-Sited Exposure Program: Manual Metering Mode: Pattern >> Someone suggested to use spot metering

Hi ,bros this for education purposes only not to compare .
We think you needs to double your focal lenght with convertor to look big . Here a shot taken with Sony H9 . [IMG] [/IMG]Last edited by mccm33; 15th September 2008 at 03:19 AM. |

The size i got was not even close to that.. funny eh? And i'm on 23rd floor. But i noticed that through the viewfinder, it looked like the one u posted, but once taken, it somehow appeared smaller? The look of my moon that i captured is similar to your 'From my kitchen window' photo ![]() ![]() The first night, i didn't use a tripod but just now, yeah.. 10 mins ago.. i did and guess wat? It looked the same as the hand held pics ![]() *faintzzz* |
