Default Which portable 4R printer?

Can anyone share their experience on using portable printers like CP-100 and such? Such as the ink consumption and durability of the prints to sunlight and water.

I really like the size of the Sony printers but they only accept MS, those that accept CF are rather bulky.

Anyone used the HP? the one that is often given as free gift when signup phone line or buy cameras.

Any other brands that can consider? I seen many others like Olympus and Panasonic but never locally.

Cp-100 and Sony ones are different from the HP photosmart 190

They are dye sublimation printers and they are VERY EXPENSIVE.

I remember asking abt the SONY ones and they sell the paper and the ink as a package and when the paper runs out the ink will runs out at about the same time.

I calculated the cost of the ink + paper and it's like 70cents per 4R, I will rather send it to a shop to develop.

For HP Photosmart, it uses ink-jet instead and is "cheaper" than dye sublimation ones, but it is still not worth it to buy 4R paper and print.

Each 4R costs 30-40cents for paper only, depending on 3rd party like Kodak and Konica or Espon and Canon.

Add the ink costs and I rather send to a shop to print (for the same price or cheaper) and get better results than a ink jet print.

I only print using ink jet for larger sizes like A4, because only then it is more worth it than a shop developing charges.

oic. thanks for the response. Coz there may be times I want to do printing on the spot, battery operated if possible, else low power consumption just so I can run it off my car battery.

it's more of a convenience than cost, but i want a printer that takes CF cards, so pretty much Canon only, cant seem to find other brands readily available.

HP Photosmart 130 takes in CF, MS, SM, SD..etc cards but is only able to print 4 x 6, if you need a A4 then you need to get a Canon i70 or HP deskjet 450.

i70 prints direct from Canon cameras but not CF cards.
